Mr. Daniel Cattau Bio

Mr. Daniel Cattau

Mr. Cattau was born and raised in the Denver Metro area. He was blessed to attend Denver Lutheran High School where he participated in everything he possibly could. You would often see him on the field or court playing football, basketball, and baseball while at DLHS. He ended up choosing to attend Concordia University Wisconsin to further his education and play baseball.

After graduating CUW in 2009, he spent a year as Admissions Director and Teacher at Lutheran High School in Parker, CO. He then accepted a teaching job at Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas, NV. While teaching, he completed his Masters in Athletic Administration and Coaching from Concordia University Irvine. His job changed and grew throughout his 11 years at Faith Lutheran. While teaching math, he also gained experience in administrative roles by helping with professional development, athletic fundraising, and leadership programs. He also served as a Men’s Assistant Golf Coach and Varsity Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach.

In education, Mr. Cattau’s most proud of starting and leading Faith Lutheran’s “Echo Families”. These small groups gave leadership experience to Christian students on campus by providing them an opportunity to lead their peers in Bible Study and fellowship.

Mr. Cattau joined Concordia High School in 2022 as the Head of School. His passion for Christian education drove him to lead a school that will prepare young men and women for the next step in life. He believes strongly in sharing the lifesaving news of Jesus’ love for all people through education.

Daniel and his wife, Elizabeth, were married in 2010 by Elizabeth’s father in his Church in Cedarburg, WI. They have three children, Madelyn, Emily, and Elijah who all were baptized by their grandpa. The Cattau family are members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austin.
